To provide aerial support to the Environmental Crime Investigations Unit of SANParks in order to attend to rhino crime scenes.

Tokkie Botes, founder of Flying for Freedom, has flown in excess of 400 hours during the past few years in the Kruger National Park providing aerial support to the crime scene forensic team. In addition to acting as a deterrent to poachers, the aerial support included transporting the team to rhino carcasses to collect evidence. The photographs below provide an overview of some of the rhino crime scenes encountered during 2016 in the Kruger National Park. Captions are quoted from the “Flying for Freedom” Facebook page.
